Jordan named Friend of Farm Bureau, tours local agriculture businesses
This week, Congressman Jim Jordan (R-Urbana) toured farms and other businesses in a special focus on the Fourth District’s agriculture industry.
The American Farm Bureau Federation Board of Directors named Rep. Jordan a “Friend of Farm Bureau” this year – an honor awarded each Congress to legislators who support the agriculture industry through their votes. Legislators are nominated by their respective state Farm Bureaus based on voting records, the number of bills sponsored and co-sponsored and their accessibility to the Farm Bureau.
Of the tours, Rep. Jordan said:
“The Fourth District grows things and makes things. We’re the start of the agriculture belt, and I’m proud to stand up for the hard-working farmers and others who make our district’s agriculture industry thrive. It’s my privilege to fight for the needs of this industry through my work in Washington.”
Rep. Jordan’s tours included visits to The Pickwick Place farm in Bucyrus, Haubert Family Farm in Tiffin, Quarry Hill Orchards in Berlin Heights, The MAiZE at Little Darby Creek in Milford Center and Bokes Creek Winery in Raymond.
