WASHINGTON D.C. – Rep. Jim Jordan (R-Urbana) today released a new video -Is Government Holding Back Your Ohio Business? - launching AmericanJobCreators.com, to directly engage Ohio's job creation experts in his work knocking down unnecessary government barriers to American growth and prosperity. AmericanJobCreators.com is built to listen and learn from our country's job creators who each day feel the impact of government rules and regulations.

"Americans have a right to an efficient, effective government that works for them. American job creators deserve the opportunity to succeed and grow here in the United States. Government should deliver predictability, letting innovators deliver results," says Jordan. "Our job on the Oversight and Government Reform Committee is to help both taxpayers and businesses secure these rights. But to get our job right we need help from you, our country's proven job creation experts."

As Chairman of the Oversight and Government Reform Committee's Subcommittee on Regulatory Affairs, Stimulus and Government Spending, Jordan is exploring the impact of regulations on businesses of all sizes to find a more balanced approach to government's role in the lives of American job creators. Witnesses have included small business owners in the manufacturing and construction industries, including Jack Buschur of Minster, Ohio. Representatives from the Department of Labor, U.S. General Services Administration and Executive Office of the President have come before the committee.

By visiting AmericanJobCreators.com, innovators throughout the nation can describe how government impacts their prosperity, detailing where they think Washington helps or hurts. Jordan will harness the frontline experiences and data shared through the platform to strengthen rules that work, eliminate regulations that don't, and bring Ohioans' hard-won expertise directly to hearings and government reforms.

Said Jordan, "Our subcommittee has a great opportunity to help business owners. As we continue to explore the issue of regulatory reform, the input of Ohioans is crucial to our work."
