ICYMI: Freedom Caucus 2016 Policy Priorities

The House Freedom Caucus announced its policy priorities for 2016 that address the national debt, welfare reform, national security, and religious liberty.

Chairman Jim Jordan's remarks:

"As the Freedom Caucus mission statement says, countless Americans feel forgotten and that Washington does not represent them.  We have five bills today that fulfill the core ‎promises we made to the American people— that we will protect their religious liberties, that we will help to keep them secure from threats both foreign and domestic, and that we will hold government accountable. There's no reason to wait—we can take action now.

To the American people, we hear you. We want to spend more time on legislation that will restore and protect your freedoms. We have the time to take action this year and the House Freedom Caucus is committed to doing so."
