ICYMI: Jordan named to POLITICO's Playbook Power List

January 17, 2017
In case you missed it, Congressman Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) was named as one of the 30 most powerful people and groups in Washington under the upcoming Trump administration, according to Politico. Politico's list was "the product of hundreds of interviews and conversations over the course of months" and is comprised of "the people who know what's really happening and will determine what gets done and undone."

Of Rep. Jordan, Politico staff wrote:

"Rep. Jim Jordan of Ohio gave up his position as the chairman of the House Freedom Caucus against the wishes of many of his conservative friends. He was a founding member of the group who frequently went against his former Buckeye State colleague, then-Speaker John Boehner, and put the pressure on him that eventually caused him to resign. Even though he's no longer head of the Freedom Caucus, conservatives look to Jordan, a former college wrestler, for advice on everything from policy to tactics. How he comports himself in the Trump era ― and if he ever ascends to the chairmanship again ― will be worth watching."
