Jordan Announces 2014 Congressional Art Contest

February 13, 2014
Congressman Jim Jordan (R-Urbana) today announced the 2014 Congressional Art Contest and encouraged high school students in the Fourth Congressional District to submit their best artwork to their schools.

This year, up to two winners may be chosen from each high school, and students must be residents of the Fourth Congressional District to be eligible.  The fourteen counties in the Fourth Congressional District include Allen, Auglaize, Champaign, Crawford, Logan, Sandusky, Seneca, Shelby, Union and parts of Erie, Huron, Lorain, Marion and Mercer.

School-level winners must be received by Congressman Jordan's district office by 5:00 pm on April 1, 2014 in order to participate in the district-wide competition on April 4, 2014 in Marysville.

The district winner's artwork will be displayed at the United States Capitol for one year, along with winners from across the country.

District winners will also be offered an art college scholarship and airfare for two to visit Washington, D.C.

"I am always so impressed by the level of talent these young artists display," said Jordan.  "I look forward to seeing this year's competition, and I wish everyone the best of luck."
