Jordan Appointed Ranking Member on House Subcomittee

April 3, 2009
In his second term on the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform, Congressman Jim Jordan (R-Urbana) was appointed as a Ranking Member on its Domestic Policy Subcommittee.

The Subcommittee conducts oversight in government policy through investigations, hearings and reports. The Subcommittee sheds light on waste, fraud and abuse within the Federal Government.

"I am honored to serve and examine the efficiency of our domestic policies," said Rep. Jordan.  "In the last Congress, I introduced legislation to begin a process that would root our waste and redundancy in the federal government and I look forward to continuing that work in this committee."

On the appointment, House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform Ranking Member Darrell Issa (R-CA) said, "Jim's energy and focus will be a great asset to the committee as we move forward in the 111th Congress."
