Jordan to attend Oversight, Judiciary hearings on IRS targeting scandal

On Wednesday, July 30, 2014 at 9:30 a.m. in room 2154 of the Rayburn House Office Building, and at 10 a.m. in room 2141 of Rayburn, Congressman Jim Jordan (R-Urbana) will attend hearings held by the U.S. House Oversight and Government Reform Committee and by the U.S. House Judiciary Committee. The Oversight hearing, entitled "IRS Abuses: Ensuring That Targeting Never Happens Again," and the Judiciary hearing, entitled "The IRS Targeting Scandal: The Need For A Special Counsel," will address ongoing investigations by Congress and the Department of Justice to address the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) targeting of conservative tax-exempt applicants.
