Jordan: censuring IRS commissioner is a good step, but Congress must impeach him
June 15, 2016
Congressman Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) reiterated his call for impeaching Internal Revenue Service (IRS) Commissioner John Koskinen following today's vote by the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee to censure him:
"While today's vote to censure IRS Commissioner John Koskinen was a good step, we must truly hold him accountable for his breach of duties related to the IRS targeting of Americans' First Amendment rights. Congress must impeach Mr. Koskinen – the American people deserve nothing less."
Reps. Jordan and Ron DeSantis (R-Florida) recently made the case for impeaching Commissioner Koskinen in an op-ed published by FoxNews.com: /news/documentsingle.aspx?DocumentID=398016
