Jordan to chair subcommittee hearing on IRS targeting scandal update

On Wednesday, July 23, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. in room 2154 of the Rayburn House Office Building, Congressman Jim Jordan (R-Urbana) will chair a hearing held by the U.S. House Oversight and Government Reform Committee's Subcommittee on Economic Growth, Job Creation and Regulatory Affairs. The hearing, entitled "An Update on the IRS Response to Its Targeting Scandal," will examine the Internal Revenue Service's (IRS) response to congressional oversight and other investigations since Lois Lerner's public acknowledgement in May of 2013 that the IRS targeted conservative tax-exempt applicants.

The Honorable John Koskinen, commissioner of the Internal Revenue Service, will appear as a witness.
