Jordan decries Obama’s unconstitutional immigration actions in Oversight hearing

February 13, 2015
Congressman Jim Jordan (R-Urbana) today co-chaired a joint hearing of his House Oversight and Government Reform Subcommittee on Health Care, Benefits, and Administrative Rules, and the Subcommittee on National Security, entitled, "The President's Executive Actions on Immigration and Their Impact on Federal and State Elections." Witnesses included secretaries of state from Ohio and Kansas, among the states where President Obama's unconstitutional actions on immigration will increase the potential for voter fraud.

During the hearing Rep. Jordan said:

"Let's remember what got us here: 22 times the President said he couldn't do what he turned around and did. His actions violated the rule of law and the United States Constitution. You don't have to take my word for it, you've got all kinds of law professors saying what he did was unlawful and a violation of the Constitution. And not just any law professors, all kinds of liberal law professors said that."
