Jordan Sends 1,700 Signatures to the White House

June 15, 2009
Today, Congressman Jim Jordan (R-Urbana) sent a second letter to the White House repeating his request that President Barack Obama, a member of his cabinet, or a high-level member of the President's Auto Task Force visit the General Motors facility in Ontario.

With the letter, he included the 1,700 names who had signed the accompanying petition, which is available online at  http://www.petitiononline.com/4Ontario/petition.html.

"In one week, we've collected more than fifty pages of signatures which are now on their way to 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue. With overwhelming community support behind this effort, our message is growing stronger every day: our workers deserve to have someone stand in front of them to look them in the eye, hear their story, and provide them the direct answers they deserve."
