Jordan statement on Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu speech
March 3, 2015
Congressman Jim Jordan (R-Urbana) made the following comments after Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's speech today before a joint session of Congress:
"I want to thank Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu for the message he brought to Congress and the American people. Prime Minister Netanyahu clearly laid out the danger that both Israel and the United States would face if there is a nuclear Iran.
"As Prime Minister Netanyahu said, if Iran wants to be treated like a normal country, it must act like a normal country. The U.S. should not sign off on a bad deal in the hopes that Iran will behave. We can't rely on the good will of Iran. We must stand with our ally Israel and oppose any deal that threatens the safety and security of the Jewish state in the Middle East, and Americans at home."
