"The United States used congressionally-approved sanctions to weaken Iran's regime, economy, and capacity to foment terrorism. In 2013, the House overwhelmingly passed enhanced sanctions designed to turn the screws on the Ayatollah and his henchmen even further.

Internal Revenue Service Commissioner John Koskinen needs to go.

When it was revealed in 2013 that the IRS had targeted conservative groups for exercising their First Amendment rights, President Obama correctly called the policy "inexcusable" and pledged accountability. He even fired the then-acting IRS commissioner because he said it was necessary to have "new leadership that can help restore confidence going forward."

"I'm not a Democrat who believes that we can or should defend every government program, just because it's there. Like the Export-Import Bank that's become little more than a fund for corporate welfare." These are the words of Barack Obama during his 2008 presidential campaign.

House Freedom Caucus Chairman Jim Jordan made the following comments today regarding the expiration of the Export-Import Bank's charter:

"This is a great day for taxpayers around the country who are fed up with cronyism in Washington. The charter of the Export-Import Bank, the ‘bridge to nowhere' of corporate welfare, expired at midnight. The Bank has long been emblematic of Washington working for special interests and not for everyday Americans.

Congressman Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) made the following comments regarding today's decision by the U.S. Supreme Court legalizing same-sex marriage nationwide:

"In today's ruling, five judges overturned the sound public policy that was democratically enacted by millions of Americans in states across the country, including Ohio. This ruling follows what seems to be a recent trend on the Supreme Court: rulings based on the desires of the justices, and not the letter of the law and the framework of the Constitution.

Congressman Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) made the following comments regarding today's decision by the U.S. Supreme Court in the case King v. Burwell:

"The Supreme Court's decision today does not change the basic truth: Obamacare is a bad law, sold deceptively, and it is fundamentally broken. Americans deserve healthcare policy that makes it easier for companies to provide insurance and for individuals to buy it themselves, not harder. I hear stories all the time about how Obamacare is hurting people in Ohio.
