Jordan statement on President Trump's first speech to joint session of Congress

Following President Donald Trump's first speech to a joint session of Congress, Congressman Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) made the following comment:

"We have a fundamental task: Do what the voters of this great country sent us here to do. President Trump understands that, and it's time for all of us to get to work."

Congressman Jim Jordan (R-OH) will join Congressman Justin Amash (R-MI), as well as staff of the CatoInstitute, for a special briefing titled the "Cato Handbook for Policymakers." The event will take place at 12 p.m. tomorrow in the Gold Room (2168) in the Rayburn House Office Building. Peter Russo, director of Congressional Affairs at the Cato Institute, will moderate the event.

Congressman Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) will visit the home of President Warren G. Harding in Marion, and the Rutherford B. Hayes Presidential Library and Museums in Fremont on Presidents' Day, February 20, to meet with students and attendees and encourage a greater appreciation for Ohio's presidential history.

At the Harding Home Presidential Site (380 Mt. Vernon Ave., Marion), Rep. Jordan will speak and meet with attendees. Weather permitting, he will visit with attendees on the front porch of the house, a tradition of our 29th president while campaigning and after taking office.
