Jim Jordan says Texas elementary school shooting "Tragic" and "Terrible"
United States Representative Jim Jordan says the shooting that took place in Texas Tuesday was "Terrible" and "Tragic".
Appearing at Anthony's for the Wapakoneta Service Club meeting, Jordan says that he hopes to explore possibilities to address school shootings, such as adding more security at schools but is against anything that would involve the 2nd amendment.
An 18-year-old gunman identified as Salvador Ramos killed 21 people at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas. Of the 21, 19 were children and 2 were adults.
"It's terrible, it's tragic," said Jordan. "I think we need to look at maybe security guards and other things that we can begin to look at. What concerns me though is the left always jumps to wanting to attack the second amendment. We need to understand that this was an evil person who did a terrible thing, that's who is responsible here."
Jordan says that his heart goes out to the community and the families affected by the shooting.
