Jordan tours Monroeville

U.S. Rep. Jim Jordan (R-Urbana) spent time on Tuesday in the village of Monroeville visiting village businesses and meeting with village officials.

Congressman Jordan, a Green Energy advocate, toured the Monroeville Solar Park and interacted with members of council and Mayor Melissa Fries-Seip.

He spoke about the continued need to have the right mix and blend of energy resources in the years ahead.

He noted that 34 percent of the electric energy used in the village comes from green energy resources. Of this, 10 percent is generated, locally, from the Monroeville Solar Park.
