Washington, D.C.— The House Freedom Caucus held its annual Board elections on Tuesday night, electing Rep. Dave Brat (R-VA),  Rep. Jody Hice (R-GA), and Rep. Scott Perry (R-PA) to serve on the Board. Rep. Mick Mulvaney (R-SC) was also elected by the membership to serve another term.

Congressman Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) made the following statement regarding the decision by the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) to deny the Albuquerque Tea Party non-profit status after delaying its application for almost seven years as part of the IRS targeting scandal:

"After seven years of stonewalling, targeting and harassing the Albuquerque Tea Party, the IRS has yet again blocked the group's non-profit status without any explanation. This decision is a reminder that when a federal judge recently said that targeting was still going on, he meant it.

Congressman Jim Jordan (R-Urbana) has been named a winner of the 2015 Taxpayers' Friend Award by the National Taxpayers Union (NTU).

Rep. Jordan was one of two representatives for Ohio who received an "A" in the 2015 Congressional Rating by NTU, given for his strong voting record on behalf of lower taxes, limited government and economic freedom for all Americans.

Congressman Jim Jordan (R-Urbana) will speak at a town hall in Russells Point, Ohio on Wednesday from 5-6 p.m. The town hall will be held in the Indian Lake Community Church Fellowship Hall (120 South Orchard Island Road). This week, Congressman Jim Jordan (R-Urbana) toured farms and other businesses in a special focus on the Fourth District's agriculture industry.

The American Farm Bureau Federation Board of Directors named Rep. During a hearing before the House Judiciary Committee today, Congressman Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) questioned Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) Director James Comey about recently uncovered evidence that shows staff were trying to cover up and edit former Secretary Hillary Clinton's emails. Rep. Jordan questioned Comey about IT aide Paul Combetta's efforts to change Clinton's emails, which are part of the federal record, before turning them over to the State Department and ultimately the Benghazi Select Committee, of which Rep. Jordan is a member.
