Congressman Jim Jordan encourages support for "Holiday Mail for Heroes," sponsored by the American Red Cross to send holiday greeting cards to members of the U.S. military. The American Red Cross and Pitney Bowes, Inc. will ensure that all cards sent to U.S. service members during the third annual mail drive will arrive safe and in time for the holidays.
Congressman Jim Jordan (R-Urbana) will attend a Town Hall meeting hosted by Bluffton University on Wednesday, November 11 from 7-8:30 pm.
Said Jordan of the event, "I look forward to hearing from residents about health care reform and whatever other issues they would like to discuss. We welcome everyone to attend this event that is free and open to the public."
Last night, as the House Committee on Rules considered H.R. 3962, the Pelosi Government-Run Healthcare Bill, only 2 of 216 submitted amendments were accepted. This denies members 72 hours to review last minute changes and only allows four hours of debate today - which are underway on the floor now.
