Today marks the 37th anniversary of the Roe v. Wade decision that shook the very principles upon which our nation was founded. Amidst the number of pressing challenges we face today, from the tragedy in Haiti to difficult economic times at home, I urge every American to set aside time this week to reflect for a moment on the sacred gift of human life. The Pro-Life movement is deeply rooted in the culture of life that has been here since America's founding.
Jordan was on hand at the 179th for a visit by General Raymond E. Johns, Jr., the newly appointed Commander of the Air Force's Air Mobility Command. General Johns assumed his command on November 20.
Congressman Jim Jordan encourages support for "Holiday Mail for Heroes," sponsored by the American Red Cross to send holiday greeting cards to members of the U.S. military. The American Red Cross and Pitney Bowes, Inc. will ensure that all cards sent to U.S. service members during the third annual mail drive will arrive safe and in time for the holidays.

Congressman Jim Jordan (R-Urbana) will attend a Town Hall meeting hosted by Bluffton University on Wednesday, November 11 from 7-8:30 pm.
Said Jordan of the event, "I look forward to hearing from residents about health care reform and whatever other issues they would like to discuss. We welcome everyone to attend this event that is free and open to the public."
The event will be held in Founders Hall on Bluffton University campus.
Last night, as the House Committee on Rules considered H.R. 3962, the Pelosi Government-Run Healthcare Bill, only 2 of 216 submitted amendments were accepted. This denies members 72 hours to review last minute changes and only allows four hours of debate today - which are underway on the floor now. You can see here what Democrats have done to hurry this bill into passage. I'll be joining the debate shortly and voting against this trillion dollar takeover of healthcare.
