Congressman Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) made the following comments regarding today's vote by the U.S. House of Representatives to pass the American Health Care Act:

"The legislation that passed the House today is better because of the intense involvement of conservatives over the past few weeks. While it is not full repeal, it is a crucial first step to fulfilling that promise to repeal and replace Obamacare. I look forward to continuing to work with my colleagues in Congress to make this legislation better and to fulfill our promise to the American people."

Lehman Catholic High School senior Seth Brown of Sidney, Ohio won first place in the Fourth District of Ohio's 2017 Congressional Art Competition. His winning piece, "Self-portrait montage," will be displayed in the U.S. Capitol along with other winning artwork from around the country.

Congressman Jim Jordan (R-Urbana) attended a reception on Friday, April 21, that announced the 2017 Congressional Art Contest winner for Ohio's Fourth District. The reception was held at the Marion County Administration Building in Marion, Ohio.

Following President Donald Trump's announcement that he would nominate former U.S. Representative Scott Garrett to serve as president of the Export-Import Bank and former Rep. Spencer Bachus to serve on the Ex-Im Bank's board, Rep. Jim Jordan made the following statement:

"It's no secret that I have been opposed to the Export-Import Bank, but I can say without reservation that the president could not have picked two finer people to help bring some common sense reform to that troubled institution than my friend Scott Garrett and my former colleague Spencer Bachus."

Congressman Jim Jordan (R-Urbana) has announced the 2017 Congressional Art Contest and encouraged high school students in the Fourth Congressional District to submit their best artwork to their schools.

Up to two winners may be chosen from each high school, and students must be residents of the Fourth Congressional District to be eligible. The 14 counties in the Fourth Congressional District include Allen, Auglaize, Champaign, Crawford, Logan, Sandusky, Seneca, Shelby, Union and parts of Erie, Huron, Lorain, Marion and Mercer.
