Congressman Jim Jordan (R-Urbana) made the following comments regarding today's revelation that the IRS had recovered 30,000 of former IRS employee Lois Lerner's missing e-mails:

Once again John Koskinen and the IRS have told us something that has been proven inaccurate. In June, Commissioner Koskinen told Congress that the IRS had confirmed that back-up tapes containing the missing Lois Lerner e-mails had been destroyed.

Congressman Jim Jordan (R-Urbana) released the following statement today regarding yesterday's ruling on marriage by the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit:

"The Sixth Circuit Court has honored the right of Ohioans to define marriage as we see fit. Yesterday's ruling was a victory for the democratic process. It should be left to the American people, not unelected judges, to decide this important issue. The Sixth Circuit recognized this truth."

In celebration of Veterans Day, Congressman Jim Jordan (R-Urbana) will meet with Crawford County area veterans and pay for their haircuts Tuesday morning.

Rep. Jordan will be at Ed's Barber Shop in Crestline from 9-11 a.m. on Tuesday, and will pay for the haircut of any veteran who visits.

"Time and again our nation's veterans put themselves in harm's way to protect and defend American liberty and opportunity. Their sacrifices can never be fully repaid," Rep. Jordan said.

Ed's Barber Shop is located at 385 N. Seltzer Street, Crestline, Ohio.

The National Association of Manufacturers (NAM) has awarded Congressman Jim Jordan (R-Urbana) the NAM Award for Manufacturing Legislative Excellence. The award is based on his votes in the 113th Congress on issues that are critical to manufacturing in the United States.

Ohio's fourth district has 649 manufacturing facilities with nearly 60,000 residents working in manufacturing.

Congressman Jim Jordan (R-Urbana) will be in Marysville on Wednesday, October 15. He will attend a veterans roundtable to discuss issues affecting current and former members of the U.S. Armed Forces.
